Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Skills Development

July 4 - 22
This camp will provide activities that will include a focus on communication skill building, encouraging appropriate social skills, and the importance of health and wellness and physical activity.

Grades 1 - 4:

Junior Skills

July 4 - 22
This program will support students who require interventions in the areas of Math, Language and Technology. Activities will also support healthy social/emotional development and mental and physical well-being.

Grades 4 - 6:

7-8 Skills

July 4 - 22
This program is for students entering grade 7 or 8 who would benefit from interventions in math and language. Students will have an IEP with modifications in Math and/or Language. Activities will also support healthy social/emotional development and mental and physical well-being.

Kindergarten Readiness (Year 1)

This program will provide rich experiences to support the development of skills needed for academic and social success for students transitioning to Full Day Kindergarten in September.

Indigenous Wellness Camp Skills

An overall focus on Indigenous culture, language, and student wellness for FNMI students entering Grade 4-6. Students will have the opportunity to participate in activities hosted by community partners, build relationships with classmates.

Primary Skills

July 4 - 22
This camp will help students who are entering Grade 1 and 2 to successfully transition into the classroom environment in September 2022. The focus will be on the critical predictors for reading success: oral language development, phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, and print concepts. Activities to support fine and gross motor skills and social/emotional skills and self-regulation will also be included.

This French oral language camp will focus on communication and vocabulary skill development that is integral for navigating second language learning. Literacy, numeracy and cultural activities will support authentic learning opportunities in French.

With the use of technology, this camp will help to increase confidence and independence with strategies to manage workload, stay on top of tasks, and become a more confident reader and effective writerGrade 8 students going into grade 9:2 - hour sessions per day - ONLINE

High School Drop-Ins

July 4 - 22
This program provides online modules that will equip students with strategies utilizing the appropriate assistive technology in the area of greatest need, providing an opportunity to foster independence and confidence.
Skill highlights: creative writing, researching, gathering, organizing information, test and study skills.

Grades 9 - 12:
2 - 1 hour sessions per day - (10 hours total) ONLINE
